Bush Survival Skills for Kids

Award-winning local eco-tourism operator Out of Sight Tours is running a special children’s activity program during the school holidays (2011/2012). Adventure guide, Rosie Smith, will lead a “Bush Survival Skills for Kids” Workshop. Children will accompany Rosie into the Denmark bush and over 1.5 hours will learn skills that could make the difference when faced with an emergency situation. Skills covered include the essentials for survival, the importance of staying calm, mini-shelter building, looking for tracks, how to find north, how to obtain water and signalling your presence.

Cost: Kids $5 (Ages: 5+)
Dates: December 28th; January 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th. 11:00 am – 12:30pm (1.5 hours)
Please bring: Covered shoes, long pants, hat and sunscreen, water bottle.
