A new addition to the dream team

After an extensive search Out of Sight Tours and The Eco Discovery Shop are very excited to announce the addition of a new staff member to the team – Rosie Smith.

Here is a little introduction from Rosie herself:

Hi! I’m the newest member of the Out of Sight Tours team, not quite an Adventure Apprentice but definitely learning lots about our amazing surroundings here on the south coast. Originally from the UK, I’m trained as an Ecologist with a background in environmental education, natural resource and volunteer management, with an unhealthy level of other interests such as music, art, cooking, native flora, eating and did I say cooking? I’m passionate about the environment and the outdoors, and I am a big believer in restoring our connection with nature as a means for change. Over the last ten years I have been up to all sorts of things – I’ve travelled overseas, lived on a farm, worked on Rottnest Island, undertaken ecological surveys, taught music, grown vegetables, but most importantly I have enjoyed each new experience. After a round-the-world trip last year I’m relishing being at home like never before, and I am settling in well to the ever-welcoming Denmark community. I just love getting out and about whenever I can, and in recent years I’ve discovered that running is not only good for you but fun! For me it’s a bit like fast forward bushwalking which is an absolute win, and with a couple of half-marathons under my belt I’m almost ready to take on the big 42km…

Pop in and see us at The Eco-Discovery Shop in The Denmark Visitor Centre next time you’re in the area and I look forward to welcoming you on your next big adventure!
