The enchanting world of the Karri Moth

Spotted this beauty the other day. A delightful Karri Moth (Aenetus dulcis)  found here in southern Western Australia, belongs to a genus more generally known as the splendid ghost moths. It certainly has a very fairy tale like look about it. Click on the picture for a close-up.  This one had a wing span of 11cm.
