Denmark the place to be this weekend – centenary celebrations

17 – 18th  September 2011. Not to be missed – “The Back to Denmark Weekend”. On the 22 September 1911 Denmark was separated from the Albany Road Board and officially gazetted and named the Denmark Road District.  To celebrate 100 years, from Road Board to Shire of Denmark, Council is hosting the Back to Denmark Weekend.

There is a great line up of events – music – movies – markets – street parades – walk and talks – tree planting and lots more for everybody to enjoy.  Yes, Dave is also involved in a weekend not to be missed. Stop in at the Denmark Visitor Centre and have a look at the display to see what life was like in Denmark 100 years ago. Have a look at the Centenary Program and come along and join the fun. History buffs will love the Denmark Museum run by the Denmark Historical Society.  We will have a descendant of Dr Alexander Denmark coming to town as well!!
